Lee D. Haas , 78 of Schnecksville, PA, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Allentown PA. Born September 2, 1945 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Henry Haas and the late Carolyn (Ward) Haas. Lee was the husband of Donna (Ziegler) Haas, with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
After graduating high school, Lee went on to attend Eastern Nazarene College, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in finance. After college he started work at Western Electric as an accountant, but shortly after, he was drafted into the Army during the Vietnam War Era. He served for 3 years both stateside and abroad, reaching the rank of SP5 before being honorable discharged. Lee then went back to working at Western Electric (now AT&T) as an accountant, and would put in 20 years of service. He then moved to First Commonwealth Credit Union, where he worked as an auditor for 5 years. Lastly, before retiring, he worked at Dorney Park as the Train Conductor for a few summers. Lee and his wife Donna were long time members of Calvary Temple Church where he served as the treasurer and sang in the choir, more recently they became members as Faith Evangelical Free Church of Allentown. In his younger years, Lee loved bowling at Boulevard Lanes, and enjoyed playing on the church's fast pitch softball team.
Surviving along with his wife, are son, Sean Haas and wife Tracy of Bethlehem, PA, daughter, Sheli Polash of Hellertown, PA, granddaughters Samantha, Jordon, Kylee, Isabella, Peyton, and Paige, great-granddaughter Margo O'Donnell. He was predeceased by brothers, David and Barry Haas.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family, Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton PA has been entrusted with his care and service.
