Leo L. Strohl, 73, of Preachers Camp Road, Lehighton, Towamensing Township, Pennsylvania, died peacefully Sunday morning, May 5, 2019, in his home. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Bartholomew) Strohl since May 11, 1974. Born in Lehighton, he was a son of the late Robert and Sally Ann (Frable) Strohl.
Leo was employed as a Euclid truck driver for Lehigh Asphalt until retiring in 2010. Previously he worked as a pipefitter for the former NJ Zinc Company, Palmerton, and for the Andreas Sand Quarry. Leo was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Trachsville, and was a life member of the Lehighton Volunteer Fire Company.
Survivors: Wife, Mary Ann. Daughters, Michelle Goodhile of Weissport, Christine wife of Jim Hanby of Zion Grove, Schuylkill County. Son, Lonnie Lee Strohl, Weissport. 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren. Sister, Perma Berger of Palmerton. Brothers, Sterling Strohl, Rodney and wife LuAnn Strohl, all of Lehighton, and Paul and wife Dorothea Strohl of Palmerton. He was predeceased by brothers, Delano, Willard, and Curley.
Services: 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.
