Leo B. Wambold, Sr.

Leo B. Wambold, Sr., 78 of Walnutport, PA, passed away on Monday, April 19, 2021, at his residence. Born February 11, 1943 in Danielsville, PA, he was the son of the late Jesse B. Wambold and the late Ethel L. (Reiheimer) Wambold. He was the husband of Janet V. (Dute) Wambold with whom he shared 60 years of marriage last September 17, 2020.

Leo owned and operated Wambold Trucking, Walnutport, PA. transporting steel before retiring in 2000. Leo attended Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, PA, He enjoyed singing Gospel music and was a singing member of the Pickin' and Grinnin' Gospel Group, the Blue Mountain Gospel Singers, True Life Ministries Group, and the Yoke Fellowship Prison Ministry Group. He enjoyed the great outdoors as a hunter and fisherman. He served his country as a PFC in the Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

Surviving along with his wife Janet are sons, Leo B. Wambold, Jr. of Mint Hill, NC and Michael R. Wambold and wife Karanne of Danielsville, PA, daughter, Vicky V. Haines of Walnutport, PA, brother, Nelson Wambold and wife Mildred of Madrid, Spain, ; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

A private family funeral service will be held at there convenience. Followed by interment in Indianland Cemetery Association, Cherryville, PA. The Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA. 18067 has been entrusted with his services.
