Leona V. Sabia

Leona V. Sabia, 96 of Northampton- Kreidersville, PA, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021, at her residence. Born October 17, 1924 in Kreidersville- Allen Twsp., PA, she was the daughter of the late Tilghman R. Vogel and the late Ella M. (Cole) Vogel. She was the wife of the late Thomas Sabia, Sr. who died in August 2006.

Leona a life long resident of Kreidersville, was a 1942 graduate of Northampton High School who went on to work for Vultee Aircraft Co., Allentown as a Riveter for 2 years. She then went to work in the Textile industry for the next 29 years for Nazareth Mills, Lehigh Frocks, Inc., E. Lawn, Naz. and Gino & Jacks Sportswear, Bath, PA. She finished her working career as a line worker for 7 years, at the former Burger King, Northampton, retiring in 2000. Leona was a life long member of Zion Stone U.C.C. Church, Kreidersville. She was also a member of the John Birch Society for
many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Lila Sabia of Kreidersville, a son, Timothy Sabia and wife Jo Anne of Kreidersville, PA. She was predeceased by son, Thomas Sabia, Jr., and sisters, Virginia Rabe, and Baby Girl Vogel.

A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday May 27, 2021 at Zion Stone United Church of Christ, 51 Church Road-Kreidersville Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA. 18067 and Thursday 5/27/21from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the services in the church. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery, Kreidersville, PA.
