Leonard J. Becker, Jr.

Leonard J. Becker, Jr., 86 of Bethlehem, PA died on September 15, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital & Health Network in Bethlehem, PA. Born December 31, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Leonard J. Becker Sr. and the late Elizabeth (Wasylak) Becker. He was the husband of the late Shirley (Keshel) Becker who passed away in February 2004.

Leonard retired from Allergan Optical, Bethlehem, PA, where he worked as a tool and die maker for several years until retiring in 2004. Prior to he worked in the same capacity for Durkee, Bethlehem, B-Brown Medical, Bethlehem, and Dupont, Delaware. Leonard served honorably during the Korean War as a 3rd Class Petty Officer in the Navy from 1955 until 1958.  He enjoyed trap shooting and was a member of the Ontelaunee, East Bath, and Lappawinzo Rod & Gun Clubs, After his wife's passing and for the past several years he was a member of a meditation group lead by Judith Pennington, Bath, PA which brought him much comfort. He loved to reminisce about his early years of work and life in the Philadelphia area. He was a spiritual man who also enjoyed cooking.

He is survived by his son, Leonard C. Becker of New Freedom, PA. He was predeceased by his brother, Raymond Becker.

A Graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on September 21, 2022 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA. Arrangements are under the care of Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave, Northampton, PA
