Leonard E. Petrie, Jr.

Leonard E. Petrie, Jr. , 63 of Northampton, PA, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at his residence with family at his side. Born December 30, 1960 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Leonard E. Petrie, Sr. and the late Dolores (Miller) Petrie. He was the husband of Susan M. (Wingert) Petrie with whom he celebrated 25 years of marriage this past February 26, 2024.

Leonard was a 1978 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School who was last employed as a Concrete finisher for A. J. Trunzo, Bath, PA for 3 years. Prior to he was a Foreman for the former F.A. Rohrbach, Allentown, PA for 8 years. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors. Leonard served his country as a Seargent in the US Army during peacetime.

Surviving along with his wife Susan are sons, Leonard E. Petrie, III and fiance Felicia Rompilla of Whitehall, PA, Zachary A. Petrie and fiance Cassandra Bekete of Northampton, PA, Jordan Petrie of Thornton, CO, Lee T. Petrie and fiance Kristen Courter of Northampton, PA and Wesley P. Petrie of Northampton, PA, step-son, Michael J. Kelley of Northampton, PA, brother, Dennis L. and wife Kathleen Petrie of Kutztown, PA, and 7 grandchildren. He  was predeceased by his sister, Mrs. Pamela J.  Jones in April 2020.

Services will be private and at the convenience of  the family. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with his care and services.
