Lois M. Brennan-Backus

Lois M. Brennan - Backus, 98 of Easton, PA. formerly of Frostproof, FL passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at Alexandria Manor Assisted Living in Nazareth, PA. Born August 21, 1923 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy L. Shephard and the late Helen (Gerschefske) Shephard. Lois was the wife of the late Carl E. Brennan who died 1981and Richard E. Backus who died in 2015.

Lois was last employed as a Operating / Delivery Room Technician for 10 years at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, NY. before retiring. Prior to she worked as a Technician in the medical field in Cortland, NY for 15 years. She was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are daughters, Ellen L. Cannon, wife of Charles of Easton, PA and Mrs. Helen M. Whitney of Harpursville, NY, son, Michael L. Brennan and wife Patt Kelley of Vernon, CT, 5 grand children; 5 great grand children; and 6 great-great-grandchildren, Stepson, Dr. Richard Baccus of Peachtree City, GA, Step-daughter, Karen wife of Charles Williams of Gainesville, FL, and 11-Step-grandchildren and many Step-Great-Grandchildren.

Future service and burial will be held in New York. Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home, 211 E.Center St., Nazareth, PA 18064 has been entrusted with her care and arrangements.
