Loretta K. Ferrel

Loretta K. (O'Brien) Ferrel , 83, of Blue Barn Road, Allentown, Upper Macungie Twp, died peacefully early Thursday morning, March 23, 2023, in Lower Macungie Twp. She was the wife of the late Warren T. Ferrel, Jr. who passed in 2005. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late George J. and Alfreda (Schaffer) O'Brien.

Loretta was employed as a cashier by the former Thrift-Eckerd Drug Store, Allentown for several years until retiring in 2005. She also worked for G.A.C. Finance, Allentown for 16 years, and also as a school crossing guard for the Allentown School District. Loretta was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Northampton, and a 1957 graduate of the Northampton High School. She was a member and enjoyed trap shooting at the Guthsville Rod and Gun Club. She enjoyed to crochet and work on plastic canvases.

Survivors : son, George T. and wife Suzanne of Macungie. 2 grandchildren, Jordan, and Tyler. sisters, Dawn I. Mohrey, Lynne Schlager, both of Northampton, Bonnie wife of Dale Schoenberger of Casa Grande, AZ. brothers, Dale O'Brien of OH, Gary and wife Cindy of Northampton. nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Faye Stubits, and brothers, Lee, and Dennis.
