Loretta Legath

Loretta Legath, 88 of Lehigh Township, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at her home.

Born March 28, 1933 in Lehighton, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Florence DeHaven, and after their passing, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, the late Theodore and Elsie Meckes. She and her husband, Stephen G. Legath, Sr. were married on May 28, 1953.

She was a sewing machine operator for Cross Country Clothes for 38 years before retiring.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Robin wife of Joseph Wolfer of Colorado Springs, CO and Kathy L. wife of Mark Kremus of Danielsville, son, Stephen G. Legath, Jr. and Patty Gormley of Lehigh Township, grandchildren, Jonathan, Stephen, Aubrey, and Rebecca, and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a 2:00 PM funeral service, all on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, Pennsylvania. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Northampton.
