Lucille Gernet Lynn Whitmer

Lucille Gernet Lynn Whitmer , 107 of Nazareth, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. Born December 24, 1915 in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Henry H. and Mazie R. (Gernet) Lynn and wife of the late Ralph L. Whitmer.

Lucille was a former member of Christ UCC, Bethlehem and a member of Nazareth Moravian Church, Nazareth. She was a 1933 graduate of Liberty High School, Bethlehem, and a 1937 graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem for eleven years. She was also a nurse in Dr. Thomas Schadt's office, Bethlehem, and a private duty nurse in the homes of many grateful patients.

Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Candace D. Whitmer Collmer wife of Alan Collmer of Ithaca, NY, step-daughter, Deanna Achenbach Fritz of Hawley, PA, grandchildren, Richard Achenbach, Jr., Scott Achenbach, Alex Collmer, April Collmer, Jenna Whitmer Kearns, and Benjamin Whitmer, and seven great grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, Cathy Yost, of Nazareth. She was predeceased by son, Terrance R. Whitmer, sisters, Elizabeth L. Metzger and Grace L. Heffner.

Services: The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM all on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Kortz Hall, Moravian Hall Square, 175 W.
