Margaret P. Bentz

Margaret P. Bentz, 89 of Laurys Station, PA, passed away on December 24, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA. Born January 25, 1933 in Bath, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert Roth and the late Hilda (Smith) Roth. She was the wife of the late Donald Bentz, with whom she shared 52 years of loving marriage.

Margaret was a graduate of Northampton Area High School, She then went on to work as a seamstress and helped with office work at multiple manufacturing companies for 44 years before retiring in 1997. Margaret enjoyed camping and was part of the group "The Firesiders". She was a member of the "Keenagers" a group at her church, St John's U.C.C. Laurys Station, where she would meet with friends. Margaret was also active
in the Laurys Station Fire Company, serving on the auxiliary board.

Surviving are daughters, Linda Haney, wife of Morgan of Laurys Station, PA and Carol Wentz-Meining wife of Stephen of Palmerton PA, sister, Althea Bruch wife of Art, of Northampton; 4 grand children Joshua Wentz, Daniel Wentz, Courtney Wright, and Jesse Haney; 2 step-grand children; 6 great grand children; 5 step-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister, Annabelle Roth.

Friends and family are invited for viewing at 10:00AM on December 30, 2022, followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA 18067, with Rev. Dr. James Gottwald officiating. Interment will follow at St. Peter's U.C.C. Church Cemetery Northampton, PA.
