Margaret Leindecker

Margaret Leindecker, 89 of Wapwallopen, PA, passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes Barre, PA. Born September 28, 1932 in Northampton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul Legenza and the late Mary (Burko) Legenza. She was the wife of Willard Leindecker who passed away in 1967.

Margaret was last employed as a Switchboard operator for the P.P. & L Power Plant, Berwick, PA, for 10 years until retiring in 1995. Prior to she was a Secretary for Glen-Gery Brick, Allentown, PA for 20 years. She was a former member of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, Northampton, PA.

Surviving are sons, John P. Leindecker of Evergreen, CO and James P. LaPenna and wife Susan of Jupiter, FL, sisters, Catherine Nefak of Allentown, PA and Jean Kosalko of Hellertown, PA; 2 granddaughters, Anastasia and Jaqueline. She was predeceased by brothers, George and Edward.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday July 28, 2022 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, 2181 Washington Avenue Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to Mass at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA, Interment will follow in Allen Union Cemetery Northampton, PA.
