Marianna Allen

Marianna (Zafarano) Allen , 86, of Kunkletown, PA, formerly of Ridgewood, Queens, NY, died early Friday morning, May 12, 2023, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem.  She was the wife of the late William A. Allen who passed in 2011.  Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late Michael, Sr. and Mary (Tedesco) Zafarano.

Marianna was employed by Fordham University, Manhattan, NY, as a communications secretary.  She attended both St. Matthias RC Church, Ridgewood, Queens, NY, and St. Nicholas RC Church, Berlinsville.

Survivors: Daughters, Marianna Allen-Pedone wife of Leonard Pedone of Ridgewood, NY, and Carolyn Allen-Dry wife of Richard Dry of Kunkletown.  Son, William A. Allen, Jr. and fiancee, Kim (Rohl) Meno of Saylorsburg. 8 grandchildren, Thomas, Joseph, Kristen, Jacklyn, Caitlyn, Ryan, Marianna, and Nicholas.  Many great-grandchildren.  Sisters, Sophie Catinella of FL, Dolores Flanagan of NC, and Deanna Scalco of CA.  Brother, Michael, Jr. and wife Lela Zafarano of GA.  Many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Geraldine, and Pauline.
