Marie J. Amerman

Marie J. Amerman, 79 of Nazareth, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, March 29, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. Born June 23, 1939 in Lower Nazareth Township, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Lillian (Nicholas) Butz and wife of the late Carl E. Amerman.

She worked at Keystone Foods, Easton, for fifteen years before retiring in 2000 and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hecktown. Marie enjoyed reading, coloring, watching game shows, collecting owls and Tweety Birds. She also was an avid follower of the Twitty Fever Band.

She is survived by son, Scott C. and wife Maria C. Amerman of Nazareth, daughter, Lynda M. wife of Thomas A. Thatcher of Lower Nazareth Township, brother, Gerald Butz of Bethlehem, sisters, Jean wife of Thomas Ackerman of Bangor, Bernice wife of Eugene Siegfried of Plainfield Township, Lois wife of Clyde Shafer of Pen Argyl, and Sandra Faust of Nazareth, grandchildren, Matthew and Malissa, and great-grandchildren, Mallory and Maela. She was predeceased by brother, Roland Butz, and sisters, Dorothea Meixsell, Elaine Paff and Ruth Butz.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, April 4, 2019 and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, April 5, 2019, followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service, all at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 323 Nazareth Pike, Hecktown. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery, Hecktown.
