Marie H. Faryna

Marie "Mitzie" Faryna , 83 of Catasauqua PA, passed away on May 22, 2024, peacefully at home with family by her side. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Faryna. Born August 2, 1940 in Northampton, the daughter of the late Stephen Polzer and Josephine (Horvath) Polzer.

Marie worked at the former Cross Country Clothes as a machine operator for 42 years. She was a member of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, Northampton. Also, a member of Coplay Saengerbund and Northampton Leiderkranz. And a former volunteer for Northampton Fire Police, over 15 years serving the community.

Survivors: Daughters, Ann Marie and Rose Marie Faryna. Son, Richard Faryna and his wife Mary, all of Northampton. Grandchildren, Samantha, Ryan and Dylan and Great Grandchildren, Raelynn, Travis, Tyler and Owen. Sister, Patricia Peapos of Nazareth. She was predeceased by brothers, Stephen and John, twin sister, Margaret "Muggs" Csencsits, sisters, Pauline Polzer, Stella Taus, Anna Wiggins.

Services: A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m May 28, 2024 at Queenship of Mary Church in Northampton. Family and friends may call Tuesday 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton PA 18067. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery.
