Marilyn H. Smith

Marilyn H. Smith, 80 of Whitehall, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at Muhlenberg Hospital, Bethlehem.
Born May 12, 1936 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late George and Mildred (Peters) Engler and wife of
the late Donald R. Smith.
She was a custodian for the Whitehall-Coplay School District for ten years before retiring in 1986. She then worked
for General Cinema (AMC) for several years.
Marilyn was a lifetime member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church 4331 Main Street, Egypt, where she was a
Sunday School Teacher, member of the choir and bell choir. She was also a Girl Scout Leader #892- Egypt for
thirteen years.
She is survived by daughters, Debra J. wife of James Ford of Marina, CA, Donna L. Wirth of Northampton, and
Susan K. wife of Walter Roberts of Northampton, PA; 6 grandchildren 4 great grandchildren and was blessed with
multiple step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by sister, Norma E. Stewart.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a 12:00 PM
Celebration of Life, all at the church.
