Marlene Bollinger, 88 of Lehighton, formerly of Palmerton, PA, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026, at her home. Born May 24, 1937 in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Elizabeth "Pet" (Strohl) Serfass, and wife of the late Lee R. Bollinger.
She was a 1955 graduate of Palmerton High School and was a sales clerk at the former Segel's By the Bridge, and at the Lehighton Times News in the advertising department. Marlene was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Palmerton, where she served on the church council and sang on the choir. She also enjoyed playing Pinochle and Bingo.
Survivors: She is survived by sons, Tom Bollinger and wife Judy of Lehighton, and Kelly Bollinger and wife Chris of Lehighton. Daughter, Suzanne Bollinger of Whitehall. Grandson Brock Bollinger of Lehighton. Sister-in-law, Susan Green of Palmerton, and close friend, Walter Fagan of Jim Thorpe.
Services: The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by an 11:00 AM memorial service, all on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Palmerton, 5th Street and Lafayette Avenue Palmerton. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund in care of the Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
