Marlene L. Cunningham

Marlene L. Cunningham, 79, of West Whiteland Township, passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Chester County Hospital, West Chester. Born June 22, 1938 in Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Vincent W. and Beulah E. (Chilcoat) Hoover. She and her husband, Arnold A. "AC" Cunningham were married on July 24, 1988.

She was the president of the former Hair Express in the Tri-State Area. She was a member of Romansville Methodist Church, 1859 Strasburg Road, Coatesville, Pennsylvania, where she was a member of the choir and Ladies Society. Marlene was also a past officer of the Women of the Moose, Downingtown. To her family, she was the worlds greatest mother and grandmother.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons, David Colvin and wife Patricia of West Chester, James Colvin and his wife Brigid, Loxahatchee, Florida, Robert Colvin of Parkesburg, daughter, Cynthia Slaymaker of West Chester, brother, William B. Hoover and wife Janet of State College, and eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister, Janet Shuey and a grandson.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by an 11:00 AM funeral service, all at the church.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
