Mary Jane Blocker

Mary Jane (Miller) Blocker , 93, of King Alley, Lehighton, PA, died peacefully early Sunday morning, September 15, 2024, at Forest Hills Rehabilitation Center, Weatherly.  She was the wife of the late Elwood J. Blocker who passed in 2019.  Born in the former E. Mauch Chunk, she was a daughter of the late Harold and Mary Jane (Meckes) Miller.

Mary Jane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker.  She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Congregational Church, Lehighton.  In her youth, she was employed by the former Five and Ten Store, and the former Pocket Book Factory, both of Mauch Chunk.  Mary Jane enjoyed volunteering at the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, and former chairman for the Red Cross.

Survivors: Daughter, Tina Blocker of Lehighton.  Son, Tarone and wife Nancy of Penn Forest Twp.  5 grandchildren, Tiffani, Tanya, Sarah, Alicia, and Amy.  5 great-grandchildren, Mandi, Trenton, Austin, Kaia, and Luna.  2 great-great-grandchildren, Micah, and Raya.  Many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by 2 sisters, and 7 brothers.
