Mary Ann C. (Dancs) Milkowich, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, January 16th, 2019, at her home in Bethlehem, PA. Born October 26, 1942, in Allentown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Rezsek) Dance. She was the loving wife of the late James H. Milkowich with whom she shared 48 years of marriage before his passing in June 2016.

Mary Ann was a 1964 graduate of Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She started her career as a kindergarten teacher in the Allentown School District.  She taught there for five years. Later, she taught first grade at the Cathedral of Saint Catharine of Siena School in the Diocese of Allentown for twenty-three years before her retirement in 2001. Mary Ann loved planning vacations, exploring our national parks, creating fun games, composing poems and songs for loved ones, gardening, bird-watching, and playing with her cats. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family and her decades-long friends from her college days, her "card club," and the Cathedral School "Geeks." She will be forever remembered for her generous spirit, sheer exuberance, and zest for life.

Mary Ann is survived by son, James P. Milkowich and wife Dawn of Shoreham, NY; daughter, Kathleen M., wife of Steven B. Roosa of Langhorne, PA; sister, Jolan, wife of Stanley Hirshenhorn of Blue Bell, PA; Additionally, she had five grandsons: Justin, Zachary, Matthew, Vincent, and Jason and two step-granddaughters: Grace and Mary.

On Friday, January 25th, 2018, the family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. On Saturday, January 26th, 2018, there will be a second viewing at the funeral home from 8:00-8:45 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at St. Stephen of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, 510 Union Street Allentown, PA 18101. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA.
