Mary Ellen Costenbader

Mary Ellen (Eisenhard) Costenbader , 77, of Costenbader Lane, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Twp., died suddenly Tuesday morning, January 26, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Gnaden Huetten Memorial Campus, Lehighton.  She was the wife of Laird K. Costenbader since May 14, 1966.  Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Mahlon and Martha (Erschen) Eisenhard.

Mary Ellen was employed by the former Mary Immaculate Seminary, Lehigh Twp., as supervisor in the housekeeping department.  She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton.  A 1961 graduate of Central Catholic High School, she later graduated from the former St. Mary's Nursing School, Philadelphia, as an LPN.  Mary Ellen enjoyed camping, country western dancing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors: Husband.  Son, Keith L. and companion Valerie Green of Palmerton.  3 grandchildren, Kristyn, Reilly, and Logan.  Sisters, Sheila wife of Patrick Klement of N. Whitehall Twp., and Madeline Mott of FL.  Brothers, Richard and wife Sue of FL, and Bernie of Wind Gap.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, Louis.
