Mary R. Dutko

Mary (Machalec) Dutko, 91, of Franklin Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died Monday afternoon, January 1, 2018, at The Village, Palmerton.  She was the wife of the late Michael A. Dutko, who passed in 1985.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Julia (Oravecz) Machalec.

Mary was employed as a layout operator for the former AT and T Electronics Corporation, Allentown, former Western Electric Corporation, for over 32 years, retiring in 1987.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton, where she participated in the Holy Rosary Society, sang on the senior choir, a member of the Comfort Club, and worked in the Rectory, cooking, and as assistant custodian.  She was a 1944 graduate of the Palmerton High School.

Survivors: Daughter, Carol A. wife of Stephen Tobia of Allentown.  Son-in-law, Terry Holland of Palmerton.  5 grandchildren, Annmarie, Anthony, Theresa, Tara, and Tyler.  8 great-grandchildren.  Sister, Anne Speicher of Fullerton.  She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda M. Holland, in 2017, Grandson, Michael, sisters, Helen Beben and Irene Pitts, and a brother, Joseph.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 8, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 243 Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday in the church.  Interment will follow at St. Vladimir's Upper Cemetery, Maple Drive, Palmerton.  Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, Inc., 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Online Condolences: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com
