Mary Jane E. Eckhart

Mary Jane E. Eckhart , 94 of Whitehall, PA, formerly of Walnutport, PA, passed away with family by her side on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Fellowship Manor / Community in Whitehall. Born September 16, 1931 in Kreidersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd S. Lerch and the late Stella E. (Borger) Lerch. She was the wife of the late Harvey W. Eckhart who passed away on February 26, 2012.

Mary Jane was a 1949 graduate of Northampton Area Senior High School who worked as a waitress for the former McCrory's 5 &10, Allentown, PA for 30 years before retiring in 1991. She was a long time member of Christ U.C.C. Church, Walnutport, PA.

Survivors: Mary Jane is survived by her sons, Clark B. Eckhart and wife Kathleen of Walnutport, PA and Nathan S. Eckhart and wife Ingrid of Coplay, PA, brother, Allen Lerch of Powder Springs, GA, sister, Sarah Cole of Bethlehem, PA; grandchildren; Brandyn, Lauren, McKayla, Mariah, step-grandchildren, Holly and Deric, great-grandchildren, Nash, Mathilde, Graham, Nolan, and Axel. She was predeceased by brothers, Sherwood and Samuel Lerch, sisters, Ruth Fenstermaker and Stella Minnich.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday November 21, 2025 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave. Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Pastor Brian L. Haas officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Indianland Cemetery, Cherryville, PA.
