Mary Ellen Evans

Mary Ellen (McCarron) Evans , 77, of Deer Path Drive, Walnutport, Lehigh Township, Pennsylvania, died suddenly late Thursday evening, December 24, 2020, at Columbus Hospital, Newark, NJ.  She was the wife of the late Thomas M. Evans who passed in November.  Born in Utica, NY, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Elsa C. (Sande) McCarron.

Mary was the owner/operator/baker of the former Cake Creations Company, Walnutport, for 40 years.  Later, she was a bus driver for the Northampton Area School District, Beersville.  Mary and her late husband enjoyed motorcycling, traveling around New England and into eastern Canada.  They were also members of the Blue Mountain Four Wheeling Jeep Club.  She also enjoyed breeding German Shepherds.

Survivors: Sister, Alice Wilcox of NH.  Brother, Jack and wife Nancy of TN.  4 grandchildren.  6 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by daughter, Jean Marie Michael in 2015.

Services: 11 a.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
