Mary Ann Fatzinger

Mary Ann Fatzinger, 85 of Whitehall, PA., passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg Campus, Bethlehem, PA. Born March 4, 1936 in Whitehall, she was the daughter of the late George Geosits and the late Hilda (Keppel) Geosits. Mary Ann was married for over 40 years to her loving husband Robert F. Fatzinger, Sr. who passed away in February 2001.

In additions to raising her three sons, Mary Ann was employed as a Cashier and Clerical Associate for the former Sears Roebuck & Co. Whitehall, PA for over 30 years before retiring in 2000. Mary Ann was a member of St. John Fisher Roman Catholic Church, Catasauqua, PA., where she formerly served on the Altar Rosary Society. She was a member of the Sears Roebuck Retirees Group, and she remained close with her early childhood classmates. Mary Ann enjoyed working in her garden and watching birds from her front window.

Mary Ann is survived by her three sons, Robert F. Fatzinger, Jr. and wife Sherryl of Absecon, NJ, Kenneth G. Fatzinger and wife Tina of Catasauqua, PA, and George W. Fatzinger and wife Colleen of Slatington, PA, along with 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John Geosits of Whitehall, PA, sister, Virginia Plata of Northampton, PA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday April 30, 2021 at St. John Fisher R.C. Church, 1239 3rd Street, N. Catasauqua, PA 18032. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Friday, April 30, 2021, at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA. 18067. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery N. Catasauqua, PA. The public is reminded to continue to follow social distancing guidelines along with the wearing of facial coverings when attending visitation and services.
