Mary Jo La Bar

Mary Jo La Bar , 84 of Albrightsville, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Bethlehem North Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center in Bethlehem, PA. Born January 7, 1940 in Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late German La Bar and the late Margaret (Bramble) Cherpanich.

Mary Jo was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Woodbridge, NJ, who was employed by Sears and and later retired from Seiko, both located in New Jersey. She also worked as a part time School bus driver in Woodbridge, NJ. Mary Jo was of the Presbyterian Faith, and enjoyed teaching ceramics classes.

She is survived by a brother, George Cherpanich (Lisa) of Elverson, PA and close friends Catherine Linhart of Englewood, FL,  Susan Bodder of Palmerton, PA, Maria Trilla of Lehighton, PA., and Lorraine Sedlak, Iselin,NJ.

A Private Graveside Service followed by interment will be held at the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens-Mausoleum, US Highway #1, Woodbridge, NJ. Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Ave., Northampton, PA 18067 has been entrusted with her care and arrangements.
