Mary (Hallas) Saas

Mary (Hallas) Saas , 93, of Slatington, PA, died peacefully early Wednesday evening, February 15,2023, at Promedica Health Services, Allentown.  She was the wife of the late Nicholas Saas who passed in 2005.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late John, Sr., and Sophie (Kobal) Hallas.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  She was a member of the former Sts. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Palmerton.  Mary was a 1947 graduate of the Palmerton High School.

Survivors: Daughter, Karen M. wife of Roger Zurasky of North Liberty, IA.  Son, Daniel N. of Slatington. 2 grandsons, Michael Zurasky of Salt Lake City UT, and Nicholas Zurasky of Des Moines, IA.  She was predeceased by brothers, John Jr., and George.
