Mary J. Sander

Mary J. Sander, 90 of Palmerton, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home in Kunkletown.

Born June 15, 1931 in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Marko T. and Mary J. (Sebo) Tusan and wife of the late Harold J. Sander.

She was employed by Barson and Bishop, W.T. Grant, Palmerton Shirt, and Fernbrook for many years before retiring. She was a graduate of Palmerton High School and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton, where she was a member of the choir and Altar Rosary Society.

She is survived by daughters, Gail M. wife of Ryan Hamm of Germansville, sons, Gary S. and wife Rosa Sander of Palmerton, Harold J. Sander, Jr. of St. Paul, VA, and Joseph M. and wife Cynthia Sander of Slatington, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Antonia Kuchera, and Anna Olexa, and brother, Steven Tusan.

The family will receive friends from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton. Internment will follow at Sacred Heart - New Cemetery, Palmerton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may made to the church or Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home, both in care of the funeral home.
