Mary F. Shelak

Mary F. (Spaid) Shelak , 46, of Towamensing Trails, Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, died suddenly Saturday afternoon, May 20, 2023, in her home.  She was the wife of James J. Shelak, II, since February 18, 2011. Born in Williamsport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Jack N. Spaid, Sr., and Mrs. Barbara (Edwards) Spaid of Benson, NC.

Mary was employed as a waitress for several years in the Carbon County Region.  She attended Faith Reformed Church of Christ, Lehigh Township.  Mary enjoyed clothing, jewelry, and crafts.

Survivors: Husband.  Daughter, Barbara "Chick" Norton of Indiana, PA.  Sons, Christian and wife Alysa Mintzer of Homer City, PA, Kevin Stefano of Weymouth, MA, and Nicholas Shelak of Catasauqua.  4 grandchildren, Jude, Jack, Jet, and Denver.  Sisters, Danielle wife of Keith Mitchell of Commodore, PA, and "Tater" Spaid and fiance, David Newhams of Josephine, PA.  Brothers, Jack and wife Vikki Spaid of Brush Valley, PA, and Ian Spaid of Uniontown PA.  She was predeceased by sister, Michelle Campbell, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services: 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 26, 2023, Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 2:00-3:00 p.m., Friday in the funeral home.  Private Interment.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
