Mary K. Taschler

Mary K. (Krepicz) Taschler , 93, formerly of Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday afternoon, September 9, 2020, at Fellowship Community, Whitehall Township.  She was the wife of the late Robert R. Taschler who passed in 2003.  Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Paul, Sr., and Catherine (Husack) Krepicz.

Mary was employed as a registered nurse by the former Palmerton Hospital for 40 years, retiring in 1989.  She was a lifelong member of St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Palmerton, where she participated as chantor, and volunteered with the pyrogy fundraiser program, and church committee.  A 1945 graduate of the Palmerton High School, she later continued her education graduating from the Palmerton Hospital School of Nursing in 1948.  Mary was a member of the Historical Society, Concourse Club, Class Reunion Committee, and the Hospital Nurses Lunch Group, all of Palmerton.

Survivors: Daughter, Nancy Hencken of Sterling, VA.  Sons, David R. and wife Laurel Taschler of Schnecksville, and Thomas and wife Melisa Taschler of Leesburg, VA.  6 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.  Sisters, Helen Allison of Royersford, and Margaret wife of Paul Barilla of Emmaus.  Brother, Paul, Jr. and wife Marie of Slatington.  Several nieces and nephews.

Services: Divine Liturgy, 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 15, 2020, St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 101 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Call, 7:00-8:30 p.m., Monday and 9:30-10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.  Interment, Parish's Upper Cemetery, Maple Drive, Palmerton.  Online Condolences may be left for the family at: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
