Matthew Dylan Ahner

Matthew Dylan Ahner, 35, died on Thursday, March 3, 2016, in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. Born, September 23, 1980 in Lehighton, he was the son of Willard Ahner, Jr., of Parryville and Bonnie (Bumbarger) Lorah of Reading. He worked as an HVAC Technician and he was also an Entered Apprentice Mason at the Masonic Lodge in Reading, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Lehighton High School in 1998. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army, serving in the Psychological Operations Unit attached to the 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, NC. He served one tour in Afghanistan and two in Iraq. He was then discharged with many commendations.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by daughter, Miranda Elizabeth Ahner, of Lagrange, Georgia. Aunt, Joy Lauer of Lehighton. Sister, Sarah Lauer of Palmerton. Fiance Amanda Feffer of Lehighton. Step-father Robert Lorah of Reading. Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by an 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service on Thursday, March 10, 2016, at the Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, Pennsylvania 18071.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family in the care of the funeral home (Campton Funeral Home, Inc.,).
