Mauro Buffa

Mauro Buffa, 36, of Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, passed away on Tuesday morning April 7, 2026, at Jeanes Campus-Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, with his fiancée by his side from complications of pneumonia and an unofficial leukemia diagnosis. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of Salvatore and Elaine (Naudascher) Buffa.

Mauro was an incredibly loving human from the beginning. As a self-proclaimed "Mama's Boy," he lived to shower his mother with love and affection and it was a major goal in his life to make his father proud. In 2013, Mauro began his journey to find his passion in life. Years later, this brought him to opening Mauro's Barber Shop in Palmerton, the hometown he loved. He loved what he did and each of his customers meant the world to him. Mauro took great pride in barbering and in the relationships his job brought him. His clients became friends who became family. The year 2019 not only brought the opening of his business, but that year he also found love. After months of long distance, he moved his girlfriend, Christina, across the country to build a life together. Together, they adopted his first dog, Willow. He proposed to Christina at Christmas in 2021 and she happily accepted. The love they share was incomparable. Mauro will fondly be remembered for his amazing sense of humor, his kindness for all, how considerate he was of anyone, and the love he showed to anyone who crossed his path.

Mauro is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Antonio and Rosa Buffa; maternal grandparents, Albert and Catherine Naudascher; and brother, Lorenzo Buffa in January of 2025.

Mauro is lovingly remembered and survived by his parents, Salvatore and Elaine Buffa; brother, Antonio Buffa and his fiancée, Jenn Anger; Mauro's fiancée, Christina Custer, all of Palmerton; brother in law, Connor Custer; sister in law, Cheyenne wife of Dustin Hull; nephews, Roran and Kavan Hull; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his friends that became family. Mauro's Pallbearers will be Antonio Buffa, Dustin Hull, Paul Horn, Jason Reinhardt, Chad Everett, Joseph Russo, Roderick McRae, Aaron Long, and Michael Kravetz.
