Melvyn E. Foster,
80, of Kunkletown, Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County, Pennsylvania died early Thursday morning, April 5, 2018, at Gracedale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Nazareth. He was the husband of Mary Ann (Schwab) Foster since May 3, 1958. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clarence and Lillie (Hartman) Foster.
Melvyn was employed by the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, in the steam, water, and air departments, retiring in 1993. He was a graduate of the Allen High School. A Marine Corps Veteran, he served his country honorably during peacetime as a machine gunner with the 2nd Recon Bn, and achieved the rank of Lance Corporal. Melvyn enjoyed spending time with all of his grandchildren, and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan.
Survivors:
Wife, Mary Ann. Sons, Scott and wife Diane Foster of Center Valley, Mark Foster, and Daniel Foster of Saylorsburg, Joseph and wife Diane Foster of Palm Bay, Florida. 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
