Michael W. Dorosh

Michael W. Dorosh, 92, of Whitehall, Pennsylvania, died on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on April 15, 1925, he was the son of the late Michael W. Dorosh and the late Helen Chaus Dorosh. He was the husband of Olga Kowalyshyn Dorosh since October 19, 1952.

Michael graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.  He worked for 35 years with the United States Postal Service starting as a letter carrier and promoted to Postal Inspector in Charge for his last 20 years before retiring in 1982.  He was a Veteran of World War II and served as a Sergeant in the Air Force from 1943 until 1946.  He was an active member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church where he was a past president and instrumental in overseeing renovation projects over the years.

Survivors: Surviving along with his wife, Olga, are niece, Dr. Barbara Cantalupo and her husband, Dr. Charles Cantalupo, of Bethlehem, PA; great nieces and nephews, Elizabeth, Christopher, Alicia, and Alexandra; great-great niece Silvia and great-great nephew Lucas; and six nephews, John Dorosh Jr., Eugene Dorosh, Michael Dorosh, Richard Dorosh, Brian Lingard and George Dorosh.

Services: A burial service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church located at 1301 Newport Ave., Northampton, Pennsylvania 18067.The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Friday, December 15, 2017, all at the Church.
