Michael R. Gibson Sr.

Michael R. Gibson, Sr. , 76 of Catasauqua, PA, passed away Sunday July 7, 2024, at his residence. Born April 14, 1948, in Bastrop, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Steve Gibson, Sr. and the late Boyce (Wells) Gibson . He was the husband of Karin M. Gibson with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage last December 18, 2023.

After graduating high school, Michael joined the Army and served his country during the Vietnam War, He continued his commitment to the Army making it a career for 23 years, before retiring as Seargent 1st Class. He then went to work for the Nestle Corporation Distribution Center in Fogelsville, PA, as a forklift operator for 15 years before retiring in 2015.

Surviving along with his wife Karin; son, Michael R. Gibson, Jr. and wife Beth of Whitehall, PA, daughter, Claudia K.B. Comittino and Craig of Pittstown, NJ, brothers, Steve Gibson, Jr. and wife Barbara of Slidell, LA and Harry Gibson and wife Martha of Dallas, TX; 5 grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua, Rachel, Sarah, and Katherine(Kate), and nieces and nephews.
