Millard "Sonny" A. Kemmerer, Jr.,
85, of Fairmont Avenue, Whitehall, Pennsylvania, died Friday morning, September 8, 2017, at VNA Hospice House at St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township. He was the husband of Annie M. (Marino) Kemmerer since September 3, 1960. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Millard A., Sr. and Evelyn (Beck) Kemmerer.
Sonny was employed as a truck driver for the former Van Brundt and Son Trucking Company, Fogelsville, for over 32 years. He was a member, usher, and pyrohy maker volunteer at St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Palmerton. Sonny was an Army Veteran of Korea, achieving the rank of Corporal. He was Teamster Steward of Local 773, enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and dancing with his wife.
Survivors:
Wife, Annie Kemmerer. Daughter, Suzanne Parry and fiancé Mark Millheim of Coplay. Son, Peter A. and wife Denise of Pottstown, Montgomery County. 4 grandchildren, Shelley, Todd, Aaron, and Brianna. Great-grandson, Murray. Sisters, Betty Jane, Jackie, Evelyn, and Nancy. Numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Gloria, Jean, Peggy, and a brother, Arthur.
