Milton E. Suchon

Milton "Blackie" Suchon, 96, of Conway, SC, formerly Palmerton, PA, died on January 9, 2026, in his home. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Dominic Suchon, and Mary (Kasha) Suchon.

Blackie had a lifelong commitment to sports in his hometown of Palmerton and Carbon County. Blackie was inducted into the Carbon County Sports Hall of Fame in May of 2000. He was a pipefitter working in construction for most of his life.

Milton spent his last years living in South Carolina with his son Jim and wife Tammy.

Survivors: In addition to his son Jim and wife Tammy, he is survived by sons, Kirk and wife Barb of New Tripoli, Mark of Ovilla, TX, and Darrin of Palmerton, and stepdaughter, Nadine Schmidt of Palmerton. 10 grandchildren, Stephen, Ryan, Aaron, Garrett, Roberta, Pauley, Jereme, Jessyca, Joshua, and Stephen. 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Micky, and grandson, Thomas Jr.

Services: 11:00 a.m., Memorial Services, Friday, February 6, 2026, at Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071. Call 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., Interment will be at Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton, following services.
