Myrtle P Ackerman

Myrtle P. Ackerman, , 97 died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA. Born October 14, 1918 in Whitehall, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond H. and Edna (Fahringer) Yohn. She was the wife of the late Roy H. Ackerman who died in 1973. Myrtle was a Distributor, employed by Amway, Inc. for 44 years before retiring in 2008. A member of St. John''s U.C.C. Church, Howertown, PA. where she was a member of the Senior Choir and the Fellowship class. She was well known for her cheesecake and redbeets. She loved to crochet but her greatest love was her family and caring for her grand, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by son, Richard Ackerman and wife Judith of Northampton, PA, daughter, Patricia M. Brennan &
companion Thomas Sands of Bethlehem, PA; 5 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue Northampton, PA. 18067. The family will receive friends and family from 10:00am to 11:00am prior to the services.
Interment will follow in Hope Cemetery-Hecktown, Lower Nazareth Twp., PA.
