Born in Pen Argyl, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank S. and Juanita E. Williams. She was the wife of the late Richard W. Anderson with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Nancy was a 1955 graduate of Pen Argyl High School, where she played on the girls' basketball team and served as one of the team captains. She was a 1959 graduate of Moravian College. Her first job out of college was writing commercials for local radio stations, and that job inspired her lifelong love of writing. She later worked as an instructional aide at Lower Nazareth Elementary School. Never one to sit still, she enjoyed part-time jobs Bajan's Market, Koehler's Pharmacy, and working for Dr. Frank Kessler and Dr. Catherine Schrei-Broadt. Nancy was a talented artist, and friends and family cherished paintings that have been displayed in their homes for decades. She also loved to sew, and spent countless hours making Jedi robes, Magician capes, and other creative costumes for her grandsons. Nothing made Nancy happier than spending time outdoors. She spent much of her youth as a competitive equestrian, and she was proud of her collection of ribbons and trophies. She loved camping in Promised Land State Park, hiking, fishing, and hunting. She was a member of St. John's U.C.C. Church, Nazareth, PA.
