Nancy R. Silfies

Nancy R. Silfies, 77 of Bath, PA. died Sunday, October 2, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born April 28, 1939 in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late William J. Gogle, Sr. and Jessie (Welliver) Gogle. She was the wife of the late Robert Silfies, Sr. who passed away in February 2002.
Nancy was employed by St. Luke's V.N.A. as a home health aide for 12 years before retiring in 1995. A long time member of St. John's U.C.C. Church, Northampton and member of the Christian Women's Assoc., Bethlehem, PA.
Surviving are sons, Randy C. Silfies and wife Kim of Bath, PA and William R. Silfies and Laurie Peil of Coudersport, PA, daughter, Nancy J. wife of Dean Haftl of Bath, PA, brother, William J. Gogle, Jr. and wife Carol of Allentown, PA; 5 Grandchildren; 4 Great-Grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Robert C. Silfies, Jr. and a half brother Richard Grim.
A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday October 6, 2016 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 22 Atlas Road Northampton, PA. 18067 with the Rev. Peter B. Unger officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM prior to the services in the church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery - Allen Twsp., PA. Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, is in charge of arrangements.
