Nancy N. Whitley, 73, of Acorn Lane, Penn Forest Streams, Jim Thorpe, died early Thursday morning, April 28, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Inpatient Unit, Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was the wife of the late David B. Whitley, who passed in 2012. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late Neal Thomas and Dorothy B. (Clark) Nolan.
Nancy was employed by RNCNM, Scranton, as an RN/Midwife, and Attorney. She was a member of Grace Reformed Episcopal Church. A US Army Veteran, Vietnam Era, she achieved the rank of Captain, and served with the 33rd USA Field Hospital, Wurzburg, Germany. Nancy was a member of the Bellevue Alumni, New York, New York, Army Historical Foundation, Virginia, and the New York State Nurses Association and Historical Society.
Survivors: Sister, Kathleen P. wife of Bruce Perelli of Trenton, New Jersey. Niece, Nancy wife of Greg DiPalmia of Connecticut.
Services: Private Graveside Services, Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, North Carolina. Arrangements are by Campton Funeral Home, 525 Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, PA 18071.
