Neil A. Coles

Neil A. Coles, 80, of Northampton, PA, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 3, 2016, at his home, surrounded by loving family. Born on August 24, 1936 in Coopersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Howard R., Jr. and Hilda (Ehritz) Coles. He was the husband of Dolores M. (Schwartz) with whom he celebrated those vows on August 12, 2016, after many loving years together.
Neil was an Assembler at Mack Trucks, Inc., Allentown for 35 years, before retiring in 1987. He worked part-time in parts delivery for the former Northampton Auto Parks for several years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and member of the L.V. Corvette Club, Allentown. He attended Queenship of Mary R.C. Church, Northampton. He was a supportive grandfather enjoying all of the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife Dolores are sons, Scott Coles and Christopher (Janice) Coles. Step-daughters; Karen (William) Heydt, NewarK, DE; Christine (Colin) Amey, Alburtis, PA; Colleen (Michael) Funari, Easton, PA; Mary Beth (Robert) Schimeneck, Allentown, PA. Step-son, Michael (Angelina) Egge, Macungie, PA. Brother, Barry (Robin) Coles of Bethlehem, PA. 18 Grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a step-daughter, Francine and a step-grandaughter, Hope.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM prior to the services. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
