Neil G. Smith

Neil G. Smith , 79, of Mauch Chunk Road, Palmerton, PA, died early Tuesday morning, March 14, 2023, in his home.  Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Russell T. and Grace M. (Green) Smith.

Neil was employed for over 35 years in various positions by the former Horsehead Industries Corp., Palmerton.  After retirement, he worked parttime for Palmerton Auto Parts as a deliveryman.  Neil served in the Air Force, Peacetime.  He attended Blue Mountain Community Church, Palmerton, and he enjoyed woodworking, cooking, and baking.

Survivors: Daughters, Brenda L. Rinker, and Sandra wife of Terry Strohl, all of Walnutport.  Son, Rick and wife Janene of Palmerton.  8 grandchildren. 21 great-grandchildren. Sisters, Mary Smith of Little Gap, and Joan wife of Anthony LoMaestro of Philadelphia.  Brother, James and wife Ginny of FL.  Numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sisters, Darlene Schrammel, and Audrey DiFilori, and brothers, Larry, and Richard.
