Norman J. Sterling, Sr.,
84, of Valley View Road, Lehighton, Mahoning Township, Pennsylvania, died on Sunday evening, October 7, 2018, in his home. He was the husband of Laura M. (Snell) Sterling since May 30, 1959. Born in Parryville, he was a son of the late Edward and Pauline (Hinger) Sterling.
Norman was employed as a crane operator for the former Bethlehem Steel Corporation, for 34 years, retiring in 1986. He attended the Church of the Brethren, Long Run. Norman was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors: Wife, Laura. Daughter, Denise P. Kibler of Mahoning Township. Sons, Brian and wife Sandy Sterling, Charles Sterling, Jody and wife Kathy Sterling, all of Lehighton. 9 grandchildren. Great-granddaughter, Winter. Sister, Betty wife of Barry Snyder of Lehighton. Brother, Arthur and wife Pam Sterling of Lehighton. Nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Cheryl L. Rice in 2010, and son, Norman J., Jr. in 2017, and a sister, Margie Dotter.
