Pamela L. Dankanich

Pamela L. (Kern) Dankanich , 74, of Lehigh Avenue, Palmerton, died peacefully late Saturday afternoon, January 25, 2025, at Mrs. Bush's Personal Care Home, Kunkletown. She was the wife of the late Michael Dankanich who passed in 2022. They were married for 53 years. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Holtzer) Kern.

Pam was employed as a van driver by the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit #21, Walnutport. Previously, she worked in the custodial services dept at Cedarbrook County Home, S. Whitehall Twp, and as a seamstress for the former Janie's Fashions Co., Slatington. Pam loved watching sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, the Phillies, and the 76ers. She enjoyed being active, playing cards, shopping, going to the shore, and playing bingo at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club. She and her late husband were members of the Slatington Vol Fire Co. #1. Pam was a wonderful homemaker and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She always put her family first and showed deep consideration for the people she loved. Pam was very generous, her home was always open to family and friends. She made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors: Daughters, Denise M. wife of Barry Behler, and Michele L. wife of James Dailey, all of Palmerton. 5 grandchildren, Brandon, Jared, Erin, Liz, and Emily. 3 great-grandchildren, Liah, Addison, and Markus. Sister, Janice and husband James Brown of Palmerton. Brothers, Edward and wife Linda of Orefield, David and wife Susan of Lehighton, and Bruce of Slatington. Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Carol Diehl, brothers, Wayne, and Richard.
