Pamela J. (Remaley) Pierce, 66, of Delaware Avenue, Palmerton, formerly of Walnut Street, Slatington, beloved wife of Russell W. Pierce, Jr., since Oct 11, 1980, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, April 14, 2026, in her home. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Walter, Sr. and Florence (Edwards) Remaley.
Pamela was employed as a registered nurse for various hospitals in the Lehigh Valley for many years. She retired from Cedarbrook Nursing Home, S. Whitehall Twp. An avid reader, she was co-owner of Pierce's Book Shop, Walnutport, later Brodheadsville. Pamela was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palmerton A 1977 graduate of the Slatington High School, she then continued her education at Lehigh Carbon Community College, Schnecksville, earning her RN Certification in the colleges first class. She was a very caring and compassionate nurse over her career. Pam was very accomplished in her crocheting and she adored her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Survivors: husband. daughter, Vanessa A. wife of Ted Naratil of Aquashicola. sons, Johnathan E. and wife Robyn of Slatington, Daniel R. Pierce of Palmerton. granddaughter, Clara N, Pierce, and Blake R. Pierce, both of Slatington. sister, Donna wife of Hobart Reph of Danielsville. brother, Keith of Slatington. sister in law, Trudi Remaley of Slatington. numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sister, Lori Brandon, and brother, Walter, Jr.
