Patricia A. Green

Patricia A. (Remaley) Green , 78, of Lehighton Elderly High Rise, passed peacefully to her Heavenly home, Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.  Born November 24, 1945, in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph E. and Mabel I. (Remaley) Shimko.

She was employed as a nurse's aide for the former Jenny's Personal Care Home, Slatington.  She worked at Paris Accessories, Walnutport, and as a crossing guard for the former Walnutport Elementary School.  Patricia was a loving homemaker while raising her four children on New Street in Walnutport.  She loved animals - especially horses - and she adored her children's dogs.

Though she lived a modest life, she was selfless and generous to those in need.  She served elderly neighbors and friends through meals, visits, and running errands.  Her hearty laugh was contagious, and she gifted us with comical words and phrases of her own creation.  Most importantly, she was a prayer warrior who loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and she instilled Bible Truth into her children and grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Survivors: Daughters: Tammy wife of Gene Kirschbaum, Deborah wife of David Havenick, Jennifer wife of Jeffrey Nash.  Son: Conrad Green.  Grandchildren: Rachel, Olivia, Harrison, Malachi, Joel, Levi, and Joshua.  Sisters: Linda wife of the late David Miller, Joanne Lobach, Annette wife of Peter George.  Brother: Joseph Shimko, II and wife Wanda.  Several nieces and nephews, and cousins.

Services: Tuesday, January 23, 2024.  Interment: 2:00 PM, Parryville Cemetery, Centre Street.  Celebration of Life: 4:00 PM, Heritage Baptist Church, 3749 Rt 309, Orefield.  Arrangements, Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.  Online Condolences: www.schislerfuneralhomes.com .
