Patricia M. Shankweiler

Patricia M. Shankweiler, 61, of Northampton, PA died on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Muhlenberg Campus in Bethlehem, PA. Born October 5, 1956 in Bethlehem/Fountain Hill, PA she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Vreeland and the late Mary (Gallagher) Vreeland. She was the wife of Larry Shankweiler, together they celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary last October 6, 2017.

Pat was employed by Stanglein Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinary Technician for over 20 years before retiring in 1999. She then went into business with her husband owning and operating Junkanoos Chicken and Wings, Catasauqua, PA for several years. She also worked at Lowe's, Whitehall in install sales and Old Country Buffet, Whitehall as a hostess both for several years. She loved fundraising for her grandchildren and their events.

Surviving along with her husband Larry are son, Shawn Judd and wife Jennifer of Northampton, PA daughter, Amy Judd of Northampton, PA, sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Lavelle of Bath, PA, brothers, Michael Vreeland of Bethlehem, PA, Gregory Vreeland of Bath, PA, and James Dean of Stratford, NJ, 3 Grandchildren; Colby, Aubrie and Alex, Nephew, Craig, and 4 nieces; Alyssa, Mikayla, Dena, and Kelly.

A funeral service will be at 10:00AM on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Schisler Funeral Home, 2119 Washington Avenue, Northampton, PA 18067. The family will receive friends from 7:00PM to 8:30PM on Thursday, July 26, 2018 and Friday, July 27, 2018 from 9:00AM to 10:00AM prior to services both at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, PA.
