Patrick Jennings Slinger , of Bath, PA, passed way on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Hecktown Oaks, Bethlehem Township. Born December 19, 1949. Pat lived a long full life. If you knew him, he was quick with a sarcastic joke, and unapologetic about living his life his way and true to his curious and adventurous nature. He grew up traveling the world as a child of a Naval Officer, including time in beautiful places like Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. His family, which included his mother and father, Virginia and Richard Slinger, his three brothers, Ozzy, Steve, and Terrence, and one sister, Bridget Slinger, eventually settled in the port city of Long Beach, California. His family had a deep sense of honor and commitment to service. Pat was a young Marine in the Vietnam War, and served two consecutive terms for eight years. He received many medals for his service, courage, and valor. He returned to California where he married his first wife Threasa Slinger and had two children, Denise and Nicole Slinger. In California, Pat enjoyed racing cars and dirt bikes, photography, scuba diving, off-roading in his jeep, camping and fishing. He coached his girls' sports teams and never missed a chance to play organized sports himself, from bowling later in life to the many softball teams he played on throughout the years. True to the Slinger family tradition, he served as a Merchant Seaman on oil tankers and traveled the world in his young adult life.

Pat eventually moved to Northampton, PA, where he married Edina Mae Lockwood (Dino), his high school sweetheart. He would live out his final years there with her and his stepchildren: Tiffany Maston, Pete Fisher, and Tavia Stopay. Pat always embraced life and adventure and made sure his back half was exciting as the front half. He spent his time in Pennsylvania working in IT and for fun, bowling, and motorcycle riding with friends. He was an accomplished musician his entire life, he took up the banjo and played at the local blue grass festivals. Pat was a proud grandfather and loved animals and his wife, he spent his final years when his health was more fragile, taking care of her when needed and being taken care of by her when needed and finding comfort in there many cats (ha ha).
