Paul D. Shoemaker

Paul D. Shoemaker, 97 of Emmaus, PA passed away peacefully on May 2, 2018, at his home. Born on May 15, 1920 in Treichlers, PA, he was the son of the late Edwin Shoemaker and the late Mabel (Owens) Shoemaker. He was the husband of the late Mae (Miller) Shoemaker.
Paul was employed as a supervisor of manufacturing at the former Caloric Corporation in Topton, PA for 22 years before retiring in 1980. He honorably served his country during World War II as a Sgt in the Army from 1939 to 1945. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Cherryville, PA and a member of the Masonic Lodge #792.
He is survived by a daughter, Judy, wife of Gerald Diehl, Jr. of Emmaus, PA and 3 grandsons, John, Jeffrey and Adam. He was predeceased by daughter, Jeanette in 1982.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Schisler Funeral Home, Northampton, PA.
